another birthday

Well it's already been another year. My how time flies. Last year, if you remember, I had the special opportunity to meet Nathan Greene. It was a wonderful experience. A lot has happened since then. This year I decided to just have a FUN day off, shopping with my best friend. Since I am now working for myself, I have the luxury to take days off when needed. This was such the occasion. Here are a few photos from the day.
Our day started bright and early.

It was such a cold, crisp morning that the trees, and brushes outside were coated with ice. I snapped a photo along side the road.


On the return I snapped a photo of Mellisa, catching myself as well.


While I still had a little bit of work to do on the road, we stopped at a Starbucks to accomplish that and grab a drink. Mellisa bought me a coffee mug I was eyeing up. It has little coffee beans all over the side of it. I also took a cool photo of the chair I was sitting in with the bright sunshine coming in the window, it made a neat composition. I will probably paint it and add it to my "chair" collection of paintings I have started over the last 3-4 years.


We traveled down to Birch Run, did some shopping at the outlet mall, found some great stuff. Ate at Olive Garden in Saginaw, did some more shopping... went to midland, shopped some more and then the day was done.

Mellisa was mu chauffeur all day as my back wasn't the best. We didn't let that stop us though. A good time was had. I thank the Lord for the 34 years I have had, He has been good to me.
